SUNDAY PICKLEBALL DRILLS WITH COACH LUKE
Intro to Pickleball Clinic — TUESDAY, JUNE 21 from 6-7:30PM
If you are interested in learning more about pickleball, please feel free to join us at Courtside Pickleball and Tennis Club on Tuesday, June 21 from 6pm-7:30pm.
You will learn the basics from some of our current members, and then you will have time to play in an organized and laid-back environment.
This is a physical activity and it may be hot, so please come prepared with water and comfortable clothes. You will also need stable court/tennis shoes and a paddle. Inexpensive paddles can be purchased at Target, Amazon, or Walmart.
Registration fee: $5 (you will be invoiced via email a few days before the clinic as a way to confirm your reservation).
We have a limited number of spots. If you are unable to attend after you’ve registered, please contact Kelley Cole at 302-531-5879 or at email@example.com.
Please complete the following Google Form to register.
An email just went out to our members. Please check your Inbox or Junk Mail. If you are not getting emails from Courtside, please mark us as a SAFE SENDER so they won’t go to spam.
We will be utilizing the PlayTime Scheduler to make using the courts more efficient, especially for our new members.
It is free to register. Once you are registered, you will find DOVER and you will see our “bubbles”. They are only identified by time, so please double check that you are registering for the correct session.
You click on the session and then click ADD MY NAME and you are signed up!
I have already added our Women’s and Men’s Tennis nights (Mondays and Tuesdays), and open pickleball sessions (Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening, and Saturday morning). I added this month’s pickleball social, as well as Coach Pasha’s Wednesday night drills.

INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT PICKLEBALL?
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport for the second year in a row. Now it’s time for you to give it a try.
On April 9 we will be hosting two Intro to Pickleball classes. If you and your kids want to learn, join us for our family class at 10:30am. If you prefer an adults-only atmosphere, we will be having another class at 3:00 that afternoon.
Please RSVP so we know how many goody bags to prepare! Space is limited, so reserve your spot soon.
Is it just for Courtside members?
Nope. Everyone is invited to this class. However, non-members will need to pay a $5 fee for each participant.
What do I bring?
Wear comfy clothes and court shoes/sneakers. We do ask that you bring pickleball paddles with you. You can buy inexpensive ones at Walmart, Target, or Amazon — they will all work just fine.
Do I need tennis experience?
The great thing about pickleball is that it is for everyone. Check your self-consciousness at the gate and come have a fun time. We welcome everyone from ages 8-100.
Do I have to commit to anything afterwards?
No way! We simply want to introduce people to our facility and to the game of pickleball. We are a private club, so we would love to have new members join — but there will be no sales pitches or pressure. Just lots of dinks (a pickleball term you will learn)!
What happens if it rains?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate (rain, cold, snow), we have a make-up date scheduled for April 30 (same times). You will be notified via email.
If you have any questions, please contact Kelley Cole at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Happy New Year!
January 11, 2022
It’s hard to believe that 2022 is already here. Even though the weather is chilly right now, warmer temperatures will be here before we know it — and we can enjoy outdoor pickleball and tennis again.
I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Kelley Cole and I am the new manager here at Courtside. Becky Moody and her husband Bob are in the process of moving to Florida (we’re not jealous at all, are we???). She and I have worked closely these past few months to ensure a smooth transition.
Tennis has been my passion for over 30 years. As a “tennis snob” I did not intend to ever try pickleball. But in February 2019 I was visiting a friend in The Villages and she convinced me to try some pickleball….and now I love it, too. When the opportunity became available to manage Courtside, I was excited to apply.
As winter rages on outside, I am busy preparing for the upcoming outdoor season. We are planning on having kid camps and group lessons, a few “Learn to Play” days, challenge ladders, and social events. I am working on a schedule that won’t interfere with those of you who already have committed times at Courtside. Also, if you know anyone who might be interested in teaching private tennis lessons or conducting weekday camps for pickleball and tennis, please have them contact me.
One of my former supervisors loved the saying, “No one likes change except a baby with a dirty diaper.” I know Becky did an amazing job at Courtside and some things will be different, but hopefully we can work together to create an even more wonderful pickleball and tennis community!
Please feel free to email me at email@example.com with questions, suggestions, or just to say hello! I will be trying to keep the Facebook page updated and will be creating an Instagram page as well. Share our website and social media with family and friends!
In the meantime, stay warm and healthy!
